Catching Up with the Goats, Sheep, and Turkeys at our New York Shelter #AnimalRescue #AnimalWelfare

Our goat, sheep, and turkey residents have had a busy week of playing, exploring, visiting with friends, and enjoying everything Farm Sanctuary life has to offer! See a glimpse into what they’ve been up to in this photo essay.

Benedict — who, along with friends Chucky goat and Scott lamb, shares a pasture with our resident turkey ladies and a group of chicken friends — now gets around with much greater ease!

Chucky is popular not only with Benedict and Scott, but with his turkey pals as well. Here, he enjoys a free grooming session!

Friends come in all shapes and sizes, as we see all the time at Farm Sanctuary!

Meanwhile, our main sheep flock roams their hillside pasture.

The sheep flock is also home to some of our gentler goat residents, who seem to be quite curious about what the members of our main cattle herd are up to in their neighboring pasture.

If someone has found a delicious snack, the goats want to know about it!

If you’ve never gotten to spend quality time with a turkey, give a goat a good scratch, or connect with a friendly sheep, we highly recommend it! Learn how to visit our rescued residents here and see more of Farm Sanctuary life on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat. Want to help us in our work rescuing, caring for, educating on behalf of, and advocating for farm animals? Your support makes everything we do possible. You can also help by sharing our residents’ stories to spread the word that farm animals like them are each someone, not something. A compassionate world begins with you!
