Sheryl Crow Urges You to Become a Humane Hero — Teams Up with The HSUS to Celebrate Animals and Confront Cruelty

Donate to HSUS and receive a free download of a new Sheryl Crow song

Sheryl Crow, singer, songwriter and The Humane Society of the United States supporter, is using her voice to help stop animal cruelty. In a new TV ad campaign, which features her new single “Summer Day” and launched July 5, Sheryl urges viewers to become a Humane Hero by supporting The HSUS and the work they do in saving countless animals’ lives. For the next three weeks, anyone who donates any amount to The HSUS will receive a free download of “Our Love Is Fading,” a song that will be featured on Sheryl Crow’s new album 100 Miles From Memphis, which will be released on A&M Records July 20.

The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization — backed by 11 million Americans, or one in every 28. Established in 1954, The HSUS works for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education and hands-on programs.

“Sheryl Crow is a dedicated supporter of animal welfare, and The Humane Society of the United States is honored to have her join us in our efforts to end animal abuse,” said Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of The HSUS. “The HSUS has already been able to rescue nearly 10,000 animals in 2010 alone, and thanks to Sheryl and all our donors, we will be able to continue fighting animal cruelty on all fronts.”
