Update: Don't Let Texas Animal Killers Run Free

Last December, as reported in the San Antonio Express-News, two men
cruelly stabbed to death four trapped, feral pigs on a San Antonio golf
course.

Nearby golfers watched in horror as
the pigs screamed in terror and pain. The cruel action violated both the
Texas animal cruelty law, which prohibits the "intentional or knowing
torture of an animal," and a local San Antonio ordinance, which prohibits
the wounding or killing of animals on park property. Yet despite the clear
evidence of animal cruelty, including the recent emergence of a new
witness to the crime, the Bexar County District Attorney has refused to
press charges against the animals' alleged killers. In effect, the DA's
refusal to press charges dismisses animal cruelty and sets a terrible
precedent.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Contact the Bexar County District Attorney and let her know that you are
appalled that her office has failed to take action to prosecute this clear
and brutal case of animal cruelty. Let her know that she has a duty to her
constituents to prosecute these men for felony animal cruelty in
accordance with Texas law:
