made the following statement regarding a ruling by an Arkansas judge on
December 30th overturning the state's ban on foster parents who are gay.
"This is an important victory for Arkansas families. This decision
affirms the right of qualified Arkansas adults to serve as foster
parents. Today, more Arkansas children have been given the chance for a
loving home. HRC lauds the ACLU for its extraordinary work in this
case."
