With less than a year until Election Day 2020, HRC launched a fellowship program to energize young voters and activists in six battleground states: Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Earlier this fall Nevada chose its fellows ahead of the Nevada Caucus.
HRC Fellows will work with our in-state teams to:
- Mobilize voters ahead of the 2020 primaries
- Advance pro-LGBTQ policies at all levels of government
- Train those in the community to phone bank, canvass and lobby for equality
- Promote LGBTQ-inclusive programs
- Work with our partners to protect workers’ rights, reproductive rights, health care and stop the separation of families
HRC will train fellows on community organizing, communications, computer programs, digital marketing and political affairs. This is a paid fellowship. Applicants accepted into the program will receive a monthly stipend and be required to work a minimum of 10 hours a week. Both students and non-students are encouraged to apply. College credit may be available based on your school policies.
If you are passionate about working to advance LGBTQ equality and electing leaders into office who will fight for the full equality of all people, then apply to the fellowships in: Arizona, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The Human Rights Campaign recently announced the HRC 2019 Fall Fellows in Nevada. The fellows will work with our team in the Silver State ahead of the Nevada Caucus, to mobilize voters and build crucial partnerships ahead of the 2020 elections.
