Action Needed To Revoke License Of Notorious

On August 26, 2003, USDA inspectors raided Martin Creek Kennels in Willford, Arkansas, as part of an investigation of CC Baird for alleged violations of the Animal Welfare Act and other federal statutes. Baird is one of the largest and most notoriously cruel Class B dealers- people who obtain dogs from "random" sources and sell them for research. Although federal agents seized approximately 125 dogs, hundreds of miserable animals were left behind. The USDA did not revoke Baird's Class B Dealer license, meaning that he can continue business as usual, even as he is being investigated for violations of federal law. Considering the scale of the cruelty involved, as well as the questionable origin of many of the dogs he sells (often Class B dealers sell former family pets to laboratories), it is essential that the USDA revoke Baird's license.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Contact the USDA and tell them you appreciate their investigation of CC Baird's kennels, but that they must also revoke his Class B dealer license immediately!
