Sadly, buffalo are again being slaughtered in and around Yellowstone National Park, as part of a government-sanctioned and funded program of hysteria. Already this winter your federal tax dollars have been used to shoot three buffalo, capture 461, and send 162 to slaughter. With many more buffalo grazing near the park boundary, the killing is likely to continue for many weeks. Congressman Maurice Hinchey, from New York, and Congressman Charles Bass, from New Hampshire, introduced the Yellowstone Buffalo Preservation Act (H.R. 3446) in November to put a halt to this senseless slaughter. So far this bill has 69 cosponsors in the House of Representatives, but many more cosponsors are needed to get the bill moving through Congress. Please contact your Representative in Congress and urge him or her to cosponsor H.R. 3446, the Yellowstone Buffalo Preservation Act!
