Los Angeles—The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) today joins more than 200 concerned citizens at a press conference and rally against the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade agreement affecting 12 countries and representing 40 percent of world trade. The deal, which has been negotiated largely in secret, by the world’s largest corporations, could be fast-tracked by the Congress as early as next week.
The protesters are urging Clinton to come out unequivocally against the TPP, a trade agreement she touted as part of the pivot to Asia when she was Secretary of State and called “the gold standard in trade agreements.”
