Nation’s Largest Grassroots Conservation Organization Praises Kander’s Strong Commitment to Protecting the Environment and Public Health
On Monday, August 8, the Sierra Club announced their endorsement of Missouri’s Jason Kander for U.S. Senate.“The Sierra Club is proud to endorse Jason Kander for U.S. Senate,” said Sierra Club Missouri Chapter Director John Hickey. “Jason has continuously dedicated himself to protecting our state’s wild places and public lands and grow Missouri’s clean energy market, and we look forward to continuing to work with him in the Senate.”
Kander publicly supports protecting Missouri’s over 150,000 acres of state parks and historical sites. He also backs the Missouri Clean Energy Act, which is helping to grow Missouri’s wind and solar markets.
“From the Mississippi River to the Ozarks and beyond, Missouri is a state of great natural beauty, and it is our responsibility to make sure it stays that way for our children and grandchildren,” said Jason Kander. “As Missouri’s Senator, I will continue to fight for smart environmental policies that grow our economy and protect our national security by weaning our country off of its dependence on foreign oil, investing in clean energy technology, and providing tax relief to families and businesses that make their homes and offices more efficient.”
The Sierra Club will be mobilizing its members and staff this election to support and elect endorsed candidates like Jason Kander.
