Following the recent passage of the federal anti-cockfighting legislation
in the House of Representatives,
cockfighters have been barraging Senate offices in opposition, making a
last-ditch effort to block its final passage. So now, more than ever, we
need you to weigh in with both of your U.S. Senators and voice support for
S. 345, the Senate anti-cockfighting bill.
Please call the offices of your two U.S. Senators (look them up online at
www.senate.gov or call The HSUS at 202-955-3668) and ask them to SUPPORT
S. 345. Even if you’ve already called about this legislation before, your
follow-up phone calls will convey that the issue is still alive and
important to the public. Tell them that forcing animals to fight to the
death for human amusement has no place in a civilized society, and that S.
345 will be instrumental in putting an end to this cruelty. All Senate
