Tentative results are in from the recent down-to-the-wire election in Mexico. And after
six years, President Vicente Fox is leaving behind a democracy on a straighter course
to legitimacy b ut one still far short of the grand expectations held in 2000 when Fox's
election brought to an end 71 years of one-party authoritarian rule.
