Rainforest Alliance Launches Search for New President

June 4, 2015

The Rainforest Alliance has formally launched its search for a president to succeed Tensie Whelan, who will leave the position after a fruitful 25-year association with the sustainable development non-profit organization, including 15 as its executive director and president. Whelan is leaving to establish a new Center for Sustainable Business at New York University Stern School of Business in January, leaving time for an orderly transition.

The launch of the search was announced by Rainforest Alliance founder and board chair Daniel R. Katz, whom Whelan succeeded in 2000.
