Senate bill will strengthen pipeline safety and reduce methane leaks

U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-N.M.) introduced a pipeline safety bill aimed to curb methane leaks.  The bill will require natural gas pipeline operators to use the latest technologies to detect and repair pipeline methane leaks.Udall’s bill is cosponsored by Senators Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Tom Carper (D-DE), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Kamala Harris (D-CA), Ed Markey (D-MA), and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD).
